“I have been heavily involved in the community for quite a few years now, starting off with St johns ambulance back in 2005, and have been doing volunteer work with Working It Out since 2007 and became a part of the Tasmanian Youth Forum in 2008 that lead me to join the management committee for the Youth Network of Tasmania in 2009, which has also given me the opportunity to speak up on behalf of young people in Tasmania on a wide range of issues. I have also been volunteering at Speakout advocacy’s annual conferences since 2007 and currently assist with monthly youth and interest group meetings. I won the 2010 spirit of Tasmania Award in the Southern Cross Young Achievers Awards back in April as well”
