“One may assume that growing up in the northern suburbs of Launceston in the 1970’s and 80’s was a disadvantage, yet for many, including myself, it was the perfect platform for an optimistic future. As a child, the freedom this part of the world provided was pivotal to my creative pathway as an adult. From riding the BMX in neighbouring streets, to playing cricket and footy with mates in the backyard, to wandering the suburbs and engaging with a true Australian vernacular, Launceston has and continues to, inspire me creatively.”
