Place of birth: Melbourne

Year of birth: 1951

Lived in Launceston: 25 Years

After having been in the hospitality field all my life I decided to have a sea change. I came to Launceston to buy a piece of machinery and take it back to my Melbourne farm. On inspecting the said machine it was exactly what I wanted but it was so old that had I had it moved it would never have worked again. The receiver whom I was dealing with said make me an offer on the whole factory. I did. Within three hours of arriving I found myself owning a textile factory which I ran for 20 years. However my first love was food and cooking and so I left textiles and purchase delicacy and returned to hospitality.
